About Black Girls Play
 
Black Girls Play (BGP) is a holistic program combining music education, mentoring, entrepreneurship and leadership development for aspiring Black Girl musicians. Girls attend 2 to 3 hours weekly. Business of Music mentoring sessions designed exclusively for BGP participants will introduce the girls to the varied occupational choices in the field of music. 

Pilot year will be focused on the development of music literacy, instrumental proficiency, understanding music production, marketing, and sound engineering.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of one year private or group instruction in music. 
  • Ability to read music
  • Ages 11-18
  • Strong desire to learn music performance, production, business
